Community guidelines
SOK Match is a wali-first, halal-focused platform for those serious about nikāḥ. These guidelines keep the process honourable for everyone.
The rules in short
- SOK Match is a wali-first matrimony platform.
- SOK Match cannot verify wali identities.
- SOK Match cannot act as a wali or guardian.
- Users are responsible for providing truthful information.
- No profile pictures are allowed.
- No direct private messaging is available.
- Contact details are released only through the approved wali / contact flow.
- Fake wali details or inappropriate content can be reported, and members can block one another at any time.
- SOK Match is only a bridge: it does not guarantee any match and is not responsible for anything that happens outside the platform.
- If you do not currently have a wali, consult a qualified local imam, Islamic centre, or trusted community authority.
Wali / contact route
SOK Match is a wali-first platform, not a wali.
- SOK Match cannot verify wali identities and cannot act as your wali.
- You are responsible for providing truthful contact information and ensuring your process follows Islamic guidelines.
- If you do not currently have a Muslim wali, you may need to consult a qualified local imam, Islamic centre, or trusted community authority.
- Do not use fake wali details or your own number while claiming it belongs to a wali.
Sisters nominate a wali or a trusted imam / Islamic centre contact. These details stay private and are only ever shared through the approved application flow, never by direct messaging. If you do not currently have a wali, you may still create a profile; arrange a wali or trusted contact before any details are released.
How introductions happen
You browse profiles (no photos) and express interest by sending an application. When a brother applies to a sister and she accepts, her wali / contact details are released to him. When a sister applies to a brother and he accepts, the sister is asked to confirm before her details are released. In both cases, the brother then contacts the wali directly. There is no messaging between brothers and sisters on SOK Match.
Reporting and moderation
You can report any profile that looks fake, inappropriate, or suspicious. You can also block any member at any time, which makes the two of you invisible to each other. Our team reviews reports and may hide or suspend a profile pending review.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the truthfulness of your information and for ensuring your own process follows Islamic guidelines. SOK Match cannot verify wali / contact identities and cannot act as your wali. SOK Match is only a bridge between families: it does not guarantee any match and is not responsible for anything that happens outside the platform.
