Privacy statement

We store the profile information you provide, your account email, and, for sisters, your wali / contact route. We never ask for, store, or display profile photos.

Once SOK Match opens, live profiles will be visible to signed-in members of the opposite gender. Members appear by an anonymous code, and your name is never shown until both sides choose to proceed and the wali step is completed. Public profile views never include contact details. Your wali / contact details are private and are only shared with a specific brother after the approved wali sharing flow is completed.

Wali / contact details are kept separate from your public profile and are only visible to you, to admins reviewing an issue, and to the brother to whom you have released them. When a release happens, we keep a snapshot of exactly what was shared at that moment so the record is accurate even if you later change your details.

If, and only if, you choose to, we can post an anonymous version of your profile on the SOK Match Telegram channel to give it more reach. This is off by default and never happens without your explicit consent. The post never includes your name, date of birth, photos, contact details, or wali information, and you see the exact post before you agree. A moderator reviews every post before it is published.

A Telegram post is public: anyone on the internet can see, forward, or screenshot it. You can withdraw at any time from Settings; we then remove the post and disable its link promptly, but copies made by others are outside our reach. Hiding or deleting your profile removes the post automatically. (Telegram sharing terms version 2026-07-12.v1.)

We use a small amount of privacy-friendly analytics on our public pages, so we can see which adverts bring people to SOK Match. We ask you the first time you visit and we remember your answer for six months.

If you choose “Only necessary” we load no analytics at all and we store nothing about where you came from. If you choose “Allow analytics” we store the advert or link that brought you here in one cookie on your own device, and we copy it once to your account when you sign up, then delete the cookie. Analytics never run in the member area, the admin area, or on a shared profile link, and we never store your name, your email, or anything you do after you sign in.

• Your data is never sold.
• No public profiles or photos, unless you explicitly choose to share an anonymous version of your profile to our Telegram channel.
• Deletion on request, at any time.
